Resumo

O artigo constitui uma versão modificada do trabalho de conclusão apresentado ao curso de psicologia da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG) – Unidade Divinópolis e objetiva conhecer narrativas de memórias laborais de homens e mulheres entre 60 e 86 anos, que, através de seus relatos, referenciam fatos marcantes de suas histórias de trabalhos braçais e domésticos. Trata-se, assim, de uma reflexão acerca das lembranças e experiências que, muitas vezes, são perdidas pela desvalorização do passado. A pesquisa debruçou-se nas discussões sobre velhice, o mundo do trabalho e a chegada da aposentadoria na vida dos idosos. Para isso, foi utilizado o método qualitativo, enfatizando-se narrativas e histórias de vida por meio da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Pôde-se perceber que o processo de envelhecimento ainda é algo muito complexo devido às inúmeras mudanças físicas, biológicas, psicológicas e sociais pelas quais passam os indivíduos, bem como pelas dificuldades que enfrentam com a chegada da aposentadoria após longos anos de labutas, muitas vezes difíceis e desgastantes. Portanto, a pesquisa analisa a realidade apresentada na narrativa dos “velhos”, considerando e valorizando as histórias de vida.

Abstract

The article constitutes a modified versions of the psychology course completion work at the Federal University of Minas Gerais State (UEMG) – Divinópolis unit, and aims to know narratives of labor memories of men and women between 60 and 86 years old, that through their reports referred striking facts from their stories of manual and domestic work. It is, therefore, a discussion about memories and experiences that are often lost by the devaluation of the past. Research debugerd in discussions about old age, the world of work and the coming of retirement in the lives of the elderly. For this, the qualitative method was used, emphasizing narratives and life histories through semi structured interviews. The aging process is still very complex due to the innumerable physical, biological, psychological and social changes undergone by individuals, as well as the difficulties they face with the arrival of retirement after long years of toil, often difficult and exhausting. Therefore, the research analyzes the reality presented in the narrative of the “elderly” considering and valuing life histories.
