Resumo
O hibridismo cultural envolvido no processo cultural brasileiro foi determinante
na constituição de boa parte de suas matrizes culturais. A
influência mútua entre elementos da cultura erudita, da cultura popular
e a cultura de massa nos legou expressões artísticas que não comportam
rótulos definidores nem julgamentos que as tornem isoladas. Este artigo
se dedica a analisar os principais suportes teóricos sobre esse processo,
além de se deter em quatro matrizes culturais brasileiras: música, dramaturgia,
narrativas populares e humor. Trata-se ainda de um resumo das
atividades e discussões realizadas durante os encontros do Grupo de Pesquisa
sobre Culturas Híbridas do Centro de Pesquisa e Formação do Sesc.

Abstract
The cultural hybridism involved in the Brazilian cultural process was
determinant in the constitution of a good part of its cultural matrices.
The mutual influence between elements of erudite culture, popular culture
and mass culture has bequeathed to us artistic expressions that do
not carry definitive labels or judgments that make them isolated. This
article is dedicated to analyzing the main theoretical supports about this
process, as well as focusing on four Brazilian cultural matrices: music,
dramaturgy, popular narratives and humor. It is also a summary of the
activities and discussions held during the meetings of the Research Group
on Hybrid Cultures of the Sesc Research and Training Center.
