Resumo
O artigo propõe refletir sobre o potencial da arte como forma de pensamento
e reflexão acerca da realidade circundante. Nesse sentido, o texto
analisa a trajetória e a obra da artista Sandra Cinto, notória representante
da geração que surge no final do século XX, portadora de questionamentos
sociais e políticos. A artista Sandra Cinto levanta questões
existenciais e sociais por meio da pintura, instalação, desenho e objetos
tendo por base a discussão simbólica da água. Nas suas diferentes fases
de trabalho artístico a artista deixa entrever questões de gênero e da vida,
poeticamente colocadas pelas artes plásticas.

Abstract
This article proposes to reflect on the potential of art as a form of
thought and reflection on the surrounding reality. In this sense, the text
analyzes the history and work of the artist Sandra Cinto, notorious representative
of the generation that appears at the end of the twentieth
century, bearing social and political questions. The artist Sandra Cinto
raises existential and social issues through painting, installation, drawing
and objects based on the symbolic discussion of the water. In its
different stages of artwork the artist hints issues of gender and life, poetically
inserted through the plastic arts.
