Resumo
O presente artigo aponta para a construção de categorias fundamentais no campo da arte, tais como a própria definição de arte, de artista e, por consequência de outros agentes e suas relações. Independente das abordagens na elaboração do desenho do campo artístico, trabalha-se com a hipótese que a exposição de obras, ao longo do tempo e em diferentes contextos, tem um papel fundamental no enunciado institucional que busca afirmar as categorias em disputa, participando, portanto, de forma ativa das disputas de poder. Nesse sentido, também é apresentado um breve relato sobre a constituição do campo curatorial que caracterizaria o agente responsável pela elaboração de exposições.

Abstract
The article points to the construction of fundamental categories in the field of art, such as its definition, its objects, the meaning of to be an artist and what are the function of other agents and their relations. Regardless of the approaches in the elaboration of the artistic field, the hypothesis is that the exhibition, over time and in different contexts, has a fundamental role in the institutional statement that seeks to affirm the categories in dispute, meaning that is part of a battle of power. In this sense, it is also presented a brief historical on curatorial field, characterizing the agent responsible for the exhibition making.
