Health education

Health education means developing educational processes aimed at promoting health and preventing disease. The ultimate objective is to ensure individuals have the critical ability to make their own decisions and to show that the right to healthcare is a social achievement and, as such, requires active social participation.

Sesc’s health education actions consist of both one-time events and lifetime programs. We use many techniques and message formats to raise awareness of how individuals play a critical role in promoting healthy habits.

Our program includes campaigns, guided exhibits, workshops, explanations, lectures, dialogues, videos, debates and events held in different Sesc venues and outdoor areas, which allow visitors and attendees to share new experiences. When it comes to health education, Sesc has made a concerted effort towards fostering values that can lead to greater dialogue, critical reflection and potential social change.
