Literature and Libraries

Artistic creation through words lies at the heart of Sesc’s literary and library activities, all of which are designed to recognize and value the diversity of both readers and literary expression. Our support of literature and libraries ensures fluid interaction among the many audiences and different forms of expression, and both enables and disseminates literary creation and word experimentation. Educating readers, and promoting and encouraging reading, are our guiding principles.

Libraries are spaces for social interaction and personal growth, open to the public for general consultation and for lending written work of all sorts. Collections tend to lean heavily toward fiction and the humanities, and there are always spaces for reading magazines and journals, and for engaging in other creative, word-based activities.
